I'm a creative thinker who believes in strong communication and finding ways to reach the community through inspiring visuals and engaging copy. With more than 20 years of experience in copywriting, editing, graphic design, digital content, strategy, and management, I'm ready to help your team succeed.

I started my career in journalism and served as a reporter, copy editor, assistant editor, features editor, metro editor, night news editor, sports copy chief, graphic designer, and more.

I've edited and crafted coverage of major hurricanes and storms, arts, politics, city government, environmental issues, healthcare. My writing has included headlines, captions, columns, teasers, social media, websites and special features such as musical profiles and essays.

Healthcare Marketing

Switching to healthcare marketing in 2017, I have written and edited copy for print and digital ads, email campaigns, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, social media posts, websites and billboards. This included work for community initiatives and underserved populations.

As a marketing manager and creative director, I have led teams of project managers and graphic designers to provide materials for a growing community and the providers that serve them.

I guide strategy and build brands. As the author of an award-winning brand book, I'm passionate about finding the best ways to use visuals and copy together to tell stories and raise awareness.
